- Leukocytes : The presence of leukocytes (white blood cells) in urine is an important finding in inflammatory conditions of the kidneys and urinary tract.
- Nitrite : Nitrites eliminated via the urinary tract may only arise due to the conversion of nitrate into nitrite by bacteria inside the urinary tract, so one of the most important symptoms of a bacterial UTI is the presence of nitrite in the urine.
- pH : The urine pH level test can determine the best medication to prescribe when you have a urinary tract infection.
How to use
- Collect fresh urine in a clean dry container and dip the test strip briefly (max. 1 sec.) into the urine and pull it out of the urine.
- Wipe off excess urine on an absorbent paper by lightly touching the edges of one side of the test strip.
- Read the test results carefully at reading time, and held near the appropriate color chart on the label.
